Wheel Term Three: August 2024
This 6-week course is suitable for beginners and intermediates working on improving specific techniques. Throughout the term you will learn about preparing clay, throwing simple shapes on the wheel, how to trim and glaze them. You will have your own hand made pots to take home.
6 x 2.5 hour classes once a week.
The course fee includes tool use, clay, glazes, and up to 2.5 kg of firing. Additional firing is $18.5/kg.
Students are asked to bring a towel or apron to each class, everything else is provided.

Taster Class
The taster class is an introductory class for beginners interested in trying out the potter’s wheel. You will get an opportunity to learn the basic steps of making a bowl or cup.
1 x 1.5 hour class.
The class fee of $105 includes tool use, clay and equipment use.

4 Week Intensive: June
Each week consists of 2 x 2.5 hr sessions one class under instruction and the second working independently. This 20 hours of studio time offers a terrific opportunity to get some consistent making and develop your skills.
8 x 2.5 hour classes twice a week.
The course fee includes tool use, clay, glazes, and up to 2.5 kg of firing. Additional firing is $18.5/kg.
We will cover: Marbling coloured clay, lids, how to mix glaze and how to throw larger forms.

Hand Building: August
Develop your hand building skills over 6 x 2.5 hour weekly classes suitable for beginners and intermediates. Improving specific techniques including slab, coiling and decorating. Class includes group and individual instruction to guide you through the processes of hand building and decorating.
6 x 2.5 hour class.
The fee will include use of the space, tuition, tool use, clay, glaze and firing costs for pots made during the session.

Glaze Development Program
Starting in August this 5-week course is suitable for beginners and intermediates looking to develop an understanding of glaze materials. We will generate a range of glaze surfaces. At the end of this course, you will have your own set of glazes. With an understanding of how to approach testing.
The fee includes 1 x 100ml syringe, 1 x 50ml syringe and Neo Glaze Materials booklet.
